Before the 2017 programme gets going here at BasementArtsProject we would like to draw your attention to an event that we will be contributing to in Huddersfield on Saturday 18th March.

The Event being hosted by Mutualism record label at Bates Mill in Huddersfield. The event which will run from 2pm on Saturday afternoon until 2am Sunday morning and will include headline acts from the world of techno such as Visionist, Giuseppe Ielasi and Loft (Astral Plane) will also host a number of workshops and art installations throughout the day. This will include, from Germany Peter Breitenbach, Maximillian Kreis and Helge Ebinger & Sebastian Russ, and from the UK Tom Wilson and Richard Bates. To add to this there will be a new edition of a sound art project begun at BasmentArtsProject in August 2012 by Alan Dunn & Martyn Rainford, here augmented by Jack Wolff.

This is the sixth incarnation of this work that began as Rainford’s contribution to Dunn’s ‘A history of background’ collection (2011) and has evolved through exhibitions both here and the USA and a series of remixes by artists including Scanner.
