Artist Statement:

Kate Jennings works across typography, painting, print, and mark-making to explore connection and self-expression. Language sits at the centre of her practice. Drawing on fragments of conversation, lyrics, and everyday words that linger in her mind, she layers and interrupts text to explore how meaning shifts depending on who is speaking and who is heard.

Guided by feminist and community-led practices, Jennings uses art to question power while creating space for care and vulnerability. Bold colour and expressive mark-making emerge through an instinctive process without a predetermined outcome.
