Chloe Harris is a UK based artist whose work is driven by an interest in architecture and the cityscape. Her work exploits the characteristics of familiar buildings and environments and teases out a world of abstracted yet recognisable images. These images are realised in various series of prints such as her recent ‘Exeter Print Series 2020’
Educated at Exeter School of Art 2018-2020, she is a member of the Society of Women Artists in 2022
She continues to explore and interpret other cities within the UK as a means of generating new ideas. Her next stop is Manchester where she is currently resident and engaged in a new body of work.Exhibitions include: Society of Women Artists 159th Annual Exhibition , 160th, 161st Online - Mall Galleries, South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts: Reflections 2020

The work of Chloe Harris reflects what is something of an itinerant lifestyle. Her work, although it could on the face of it be seen as abstract, is actually based on the landscape of the built environment. Her Cityscapes have developed over time spent in Exeter, Leeds and most recently Manchester.
Her works suggest the frenetic pace of city life with swift gestural marks mixed with recognisable landmarks from the cities in question, be they architectural or sculptural. This exhibition begins with her time spent as a key worker in an Amazon Warehouse during lockdown and comes right up to date.
This project will also be the first step in creating a mural for South Leeds. As with our other public sculpture project we will be engaging with the public and documenting its process and reception.
