Hypogeal Annual
“Hypogeal
A type of germination in which the cotyledons (leaf seeds) stay underground and act as a food source for the growing plant before photosynthesis can occur.”
Hypogeal: underground with BasementArtsProject was the title of our 2016 publication celebrating 5 years as an arts project based here in South Leeds. In March 2025 we launched a monthly online journal under the same title via Substack.
Each month we publish two articles for subscribers:
Free Subscription includes 1 free article documenting past events at BasementArtsProject.
Paid subscription includes 1 free article documenting past events at BasementArtsProject and 1 article, not published anywhere else, about life as a domestic art project.
Over time we hope to add more to this but for now, if you wish top support our efforts do consider signing up for this service.
Each year I will create an Annual for paid subscribers and link it below…
