Interlude I TREE (Summer)

Since September 2017 I have been working with a small group of children aged between 3 and 9 belonging to refugee families from Iraqi Kurdistan, Syria and Afghanistan. The group have been part of an ESOL group for the last 12 months and through this I have been working with the children as an artist. Over the course of the year the group has been encouraged to try a number of techniques involving painting, drawing, collaging and lino printing. In the last few months there has been a focussed attempt to work towards a particular goal, that of producing a body of work to exhibit on the walls of BasementArtsProject. 

Alongside a number of individual pieces that they have produced there will be a larger collaborative work that has had input from not just the children but the parents also. Please feel free to join us for this afternoon in which we invite the children, parents and public along to view the fruits of their labours over the past twelve months and celebrate their endeavours as a group.
